Nyalla™ Lomandra has good erosion control and strengthens the soil 328% (2007 Paananen, Layt;Study).
Size: 80 – 90 cm high x 80 – 90 cm wide.
Planting Density: 2-5 plants per m², 1-2 plants per linear metre.
Uses: Mass planting and specimen planting.
Position: Full sun to moderate shade. Tolerates drought and cold. Suits sandy, sandy loam to clay soils. Great for coastal landscapes.
Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. After this irrigation is optional for most populated areas. Do not excessively irrigate, making the soil wet for prolonged periods. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil or mulch level. Trimming is rarely required, but if needed, trim using a sharp implement to 20cm above the ground. Avoid trimming in drought conditions, or in the middle of summer. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser early in spring or autumn.
