Clarity Blue™ Dianella hybrid
Description: A cross between Blue Twist™ Dianella and Cassa Blue™ Dianella, this plant takes the best of both. Clarity Blue™ Dianella is tougher and better performing than the Blue Twist™ plant, with beautifully coloured foliage. It is a clumping plant like Cassa Blue™ Dianella, with showy flower stems like Blue Twist™ Dianella. It tolerates periodic wet feet, but it is best to avoid prolonged wet feet.
Size: 55cm high x 45cm wide.
Planting Density: 4-8 plants per m², 2-4 plants per linear metre.
Uses: Can be used as an accent plant or in group plantings for colour contrast.
Position: Full sun to part shade. Very hardy, drought and frost tolerant. Prefers well drained clay soils to clay loam soil types.
Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established, then do not overwater. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil level. Use slow release fertiliser after first two months, then only if required in spring. Trim older leaves annually.
